Ecology, management and conservation of wildlife
Our team is part of the Research Group Game and Wildlife Management in IREC .
Our work focuses on the study of the ecology, management and conservation of wildlife, in the context of changes associated with human exploitation of renewable natural resources. In particular, we investigate the relationships between human activities (e.g. hunting or farming) and wildlife, as a means for sustainable use of resources. The approach to this aim is multidisciplinary, including aspects from population and behavioural ecology, conservation biology, or human dimensions of wildlife management, combining observational, experimental and modelling methods, as well as socio-economic studies.
